Chapter 1

Dr. Adrian Voss sat in his dimly lit office, staring at the patient file in front of him. The name printed on it sent a chill down his spine—Simon Graves. A man whose reputation preceded him. A man whose past was shrouded in mystery and violence. The door creaked open, and a tall, gaunt figure stepped in. Simon’s piercing blue eyes locked onto Adrian’s, an unsettling smile curling on his lips. He moved with an eerie calm, as if every step was calculated. “Doctor,” Simon greeted, his voice a soft whisper. “You look like a man who doesn’t sleep much.” Adrian ignored the comment, motioning for Simon to take a seat. “Let’s begin, shall we? Tell me why you’re here.” Simon chuckled, leaning back. “Because they think I’m crazy.” “And are you?” Simon’s smile widened. “That’s for you to decide.” The session began, and as Simon spoke, Adrian felt something stir deep within him—an unease he couldn’t explain. The words Simon used, the way he described his visions, his nightmares… they felt eerily familiar. Almost as if Adrian had dreamt them himself. And then Simon said something that made Adrian’s blood run cold. “They whisper to me, Doctor. They tell me things… About you.”
