Sunlight streamed through the curtains as Sophia woke up tangled in Ethan’s sheets, his strong arms wrapped possessively around her. A part of her wanted to run, but another part of her craved more. He was dangerous in ways she couldn’t yet understand, and as she slipped out of his bed, she knew this was just the beginning.
She dressed quickly, trying not to wake him, but Ethan stirred, his deep, raspy voice stopping her. "Running already?" he mused. His smirk was lazy, confident. Sophia swallowed hard, unsure how to respond. He propped himself on one elbow, watching her like a predator sizing up his prey. "I was hoping you'd stay for breakfast."
Against better judgment, she did.
