Chapter 2

Determined to avenge her father's death and uncover the truth behind the map, Mei Ling set out on a journey that would take her across the length and breadth of China. Her first stop was the ancient city of Xi'an, where she hoped to find a scholar who could decipher the symbols on the map. Along the way, Mei Ling encountered a diverse cast of characters, each with their own motives and secrets. There was Liang, a skilled martial artist with a mysterious past; Xiao Hong, a cunning thief with a heart of gold; and Master Wu, an elderly monk who seemed to know more about the Jade Phoenix than he let on. As Mei Ling delved deeper into the mystery, she began to uncover clues that pointed to the existence of a secret society known as the "Order of the Jade Phoenix." This society, it was said, had been tasked with protecting the scroll and ensuring that it never fell into the wrong hands. But the Order had been scattered, its members hunted down by the Black Dragon and his minions.
